Devon Age Group Junior Tournament
The Devon Schools Badminton Association are holding the Devon Age Group Junior Tournaments at Exeter University Sports Hall on:
- Saturday 21st April Under 13’s and Under 17s and Mixed
- Sunday 22nd April Under 11’s and Under 15’s
You must enter this tournament to be considered for a place within the association training next season. No other trials will be held. It would be advisable for players who will be playing at a different age group next season to enter the tournament for their age group next season in addition to the one for their current age group.
Players are eligible to play if they were born on or after 1st January of the years shown below.
Under 11 - 1996 Under 13 - 1994 Under 15 - 1992 Under 17 - 1990
The events are open to any player living or attending school in Devon.
Competitors will be informed of the start time of their first match.
All competitors must report to the organisers immediately upon arrival at the venue.
Footwear and clothing must be appropriate for the game, no tracksuit trousers to be worn during matches.
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any player not abiding by the rules and dress code. No outdoor trainers are to be worn. In all matters, the decision of the Tournament Referee is final. The tournament will be run in accordance with BE rules and expectations of behaviour.
The entry fee is £6.00 per event, per competitor. Payment by cheque please (payable to DSBA) with the entry fee to the address on the entry form by the closing date which is Friday 23rd March 2007.
Initial games will be on a Round Robin basis, later games will be knockout format. All competitors are guaranteed at least 3 games in each category
Players must be ready to play immediately upon being called. Any player not ready will be scratched from the tournament . The organisers will attempt to complete the tournament in each category as quickly as possible to avoid players having to wait around for the finals.
N.B. The top 6 players, according to final results, will be eligible for team training next season (2007 - 2008)
