Róisín O'Rorke has been appointed Regional Development Officer for East Devon and Dorset.
Her introduction:
I have recently started the role of Regional Officer for Badminton England where I will be responsible for Dorset and East Devon. Previous to this I studied Sports Development and Coaching Sciences at Bournemouth University and during this time I obtained my level 2 coaching award. I have spent the past 4 years coaching a wide range of players including those at Helen Troke Badminton Academy and Bournemouth Performance Centre. Alongside this I have also been an enthusiastic badminton player for 12 years where I have played at county level for both Berkshire and Dorset.
It is my role to deliver community badminton networks, determine the needs of the County Badminton Associations, deliver BADMINTON England programmes across Dorset and East Devon as well as supporting regional competition and events programmes.
I look forward to working with you all and help raise the profile of Badminton within these areas. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via the details below.
