LIFE BEGINS AT FORTY!

– Or so it does for veteran badminton players!

Here’s an opportunity to extend your playing career with some enjoyable competition against other similar aged people in the South West area.

If you would like the chance to represent Devon in the Inter-County Masters (previously called ‘Veterans’) badminton competitions and are aged 40 or over please contact Devon County Veterans Co-ordinator: Margaret Banyard on 01752-319471, or Dylys Bradshaw on 01752-402015, by Thursday 14 September.

Trials for team selection are being held at The Acorn Centre, Torquay, on

Sunday 17 September.

The competitions are divided into the following age-groups – Over 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70.

Approximately 60 players from all over Devon are normally involved in the programme of matches, and the Devon County Badminton Association are keen to invite veterans who are still playing at a good standard in local clubs and leagues.  Previous county playing experience in their younger days is not necessary.

We are particularly keen to hear from players in the Over 40, 45, 55 & 60 age brackets, also any seventy year olds!
